Day 1 Arrive London

Upon arrival in London, transfer to the hotel on own . The day is free to explore London on your own. Later, visit the famous Wax museum ‘Madame Tussaud’s’ and world’s largest observatory wheel ‘The London Eye’. Overnight in London.

Day 2 London – York (4 hrs)

Collect your car today and head north passing Robin Hood country and Nottingham before reaching Yorkshire countryside. Stop in York to enjoy England’s oldest shopping Street, the Shambles, the medieval and Roman city walls and of course the incredible gothic Cathedral of the York Minster. Overnight in York. (B)

Day 3 York – Edinburgh (4.5 hrs)

Continue north through Herriott country and the Yorkshire Dales passing Hadrian’s Wall before reaching the Scottish lowlands. The mysterious Rosslyn Chapel, famed from the bestselling Da Vinci Code, is always worth a visit before reaching the Scottish Capital City. Overnight in Edinburgh. (B)

Day 4 Edinburgh

Spend the day today, exploring magical Edinburgh with the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace and Princes Street to name a few of the city’s Scottish icons. Walk the Royal Mile, visit the Spirit of the Tattoo and Scotch Whiskey Experience, get panoramic views of the city from Arthur’s Seat before visiting Holyrood Palace and of course the stunning Edinburgh Castle wrapped in history and home to the Scottish crown jewels. Experience Scotland’s Best Visitor Attraction, The Royal Yacht Britannia, home to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family for over 40 years, sailing over 1,000,000 miles around the world. Day 5 Edinburgh – Scottish Countryside – (3.5 hrs) Inverness

Drive towards the highland and arrive at the shores of Loch Ness. Enjoy an hour of cruising on the stunning Loch Ness with magnificient views of the Urquhart Castle and then explore the historic ruins of Urquhart Castle and its visitor centre. Then later, wander the banks of the loch and try to get that elusive snap of the monster himself. At the head of Loch Ness you will find Inverness, the capital of the Highlands nestled on the banks of the river Ness and home to numerous historic and cultural attractions. Overnight in Inverness. Day 6 Inverness – Glasgow (3 hrs)

An early start today, you can be explore the history of Braveheart’s battles in the town of Stirling where the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle perch over the town and fields. Continue in to Scotland’s largest city Glasgow with its rich culture and stark contrasts of Victorian and Georgian architecture mingling with modern development on the banks of the River Clyde. Overnight Glasgow (B)

Day 7 Glasgow – Lake District (3hrs)

From the city-scape of Glasgow pass Carlisle Castle in to one of the most beautiful rural regions of the United Kingdom, the Lake District. Cruise through countryside landscapes that inspired Wordsworth and truly relax as you take in the views from a boat on the famous Lake Windermere. Overnight Lake District (B)

Day 8 Lake District – Liverpool (2 hrs)

Continue south stopping in Liverpool, European Capital of Culture in 2008 and home of the Beatles. Located in the Fab Four’s hometown of Liverpool, the Beatles Story is an atmospheric journey into the lives, times, culture and music of The Beatles. Be transported on their incredible journey of dizzy heights of fame and fortune. Replicas of the Casbah, Mathew Street and The Cavern authentically capture the early 60’s, allowing you to experience the very places that helped make The Beatles the biggest band in the world. Day 9 Liverpool – Stratford Upon Avon and the Cotswolds (2 hrs)

Drive towards to the heart of England, explore the famous Cotswold countryside visiting quaint towns and villages like Chipping Campden with their nestling thatched cottages. Arrive at Stratford-upon-Avon, home of Shakespeare, check in and relax. Overnight in Stratford Upon Avon (B)

Day 10 Stratford Upon Avon – Oxford (1.5 hrs)

From Stratford make your way through the quintessentially English countryside before arriving in Oxford. Here you can soak up the academic atmosphere, take a walk through the colleges of Magdalene, Christchurch, Queens and learn about some of Oxford’s most famous literary dons such as Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Oscar Wilde. You may recognize The Bodleian Library and New College Hall from the film adaptations of JK Rowling’s modern classic Harry Potter. Overnight in Oxford. (B)

Day 11 Oxford – Bath (2 hrs)

Early morning today, drive to the Roman spa town of Bath. Home to grand Georgian terraces, cobbled town squares, an impressive abbey and of course the Roman Baths, this city is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight in Bath. (B)

Day 12 Bath – Stonehenge, Avebury and Windsor Castle (1 hr) – London (1 hr)

Take the scenic route south east to visit the stone-circles in Avebury and the icon that is Stonehenge before returning to the town of Windsor on the edge of London. Explore the traditional shops and pubs before visiting another of Her Majesty’s homes at the spectacular medieval Windsor Castle. Just a short drive away is your final night stay near to Heathrow airport. Overnight in London (B)

Day 13 Depart London

Today proceed to the airport for your car drop off and flight back home. (B)
