Day 1 Arrive Ha Noi

Welcome to Ha Noi – Vietnam! You will be transferred to the hotel and check in. Later, enjoy a city tour of Ha Noi. See the Temple of Literature, the 1st university in Vietnam and then continue to Ba Dinh Square – the biggest square in Ha Noiwhere all biggest cultural, political events take place. Also visit, the famous Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Later, enjoy an overview of the capital by a cyclo. The tour starts around the Old Quarter of Ha Noi and then stops at the Ngoc Son Temple located on the Hoan Kiem Lake (the “Sword” Lake). Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 2 Ha Noi

Today, drive south of Ha Noiwill lead you to Ninh Binh, the site of the once capital city of ancient Vietnam before Ha Noitook its leading role in 11th century. The area is featured by lots of well-known sceneries, which include Tam Coc Caves and Hoa Lu ancient capital with the old temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le who reigned in the 10th century. The visit in Ninh Binh starts with a boat trip in Tam Coc where spectacular limestone karsts jut out from the green paddy fields which gives this scenery the name “Ha Long-bay-on-land”. Further explore The Dinh and Le Temples which are famous for their wooden reliefs. Later, return back to Ha Noi. Overnight in Ha Noi. (B, L)

Day 3 Ha Noi- Ha Long Bay

Today, head east to Ha Long Bay, a Natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival in Ha Long Bay, take a big boat to cruise the Bay to discover the magnificent beauty of this “Descending-Dragon” bay, created by thousands odd-shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes. After a lunch of fresh seafood on board, visit the Surprising Grotto, enjoy swimming or kayaking, pass floating villages and approach islets to enjoy their beauty in close proximity. Return back to the boat later in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy activities and dinner on board. Overnight on board. (B, L, D).

Day 4 Ha Long Bay – Ho Chi Minh City

Today after breakfast, visit Luon Cave by boat, a ring-shaped pool inside an island in Ha Long Bay with tranquil landscape and emerald water. The cruise pass unique islands like Cock-Fighting Rock, Sail Island, Incense Burner Rock or Sea Dog Rock. Arrive at Ha Long Bay Wharf around 11.00. You will be transferred to the for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. (B, L)

Day 5 Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to My Tho. Upon arrival, embark on the boat to cruise the mighty Mekong River and experience the life of the local people who live along its banks. Stop at one of the 4 islands in the area for sightseeing. Enjoy the fresh tropical fruits served in the heart of the garden accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music at the plantation. Embark on the small boats rowed by the local people through the small canals to visit the local factories. Taste the local honey tea and coconut candy milk. You can also see the locals feeding honeybees. Later, enjoy the horse-cart ride throught the tranquil road of the village. Have your lunch at a local restaurant near Mekong River (Indian food upon request). In the afternoon, drive back to Ho Chi Minh City with a stop to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, a famous pagoda in the area whose architecture is a mix of Chinese, Cambodian and French culture. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. (B L)

Day 6 Ho Chi Minh City

This morning, visit Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments of the Vietnam War. Beneath the ground lie 200 kms of tunnels, dug by hand and inhabited by the forces of the Vietnamese guerillas during the conflict. The tunnel complex was base to almost 10,000 troops and connected command posts, hospitals, shelter and weapon factories. Some of these are open to Tourists for exploration. To this day, it remains one of the most impressive examples of how fierce the war used to be. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. (B)

Day 7 Depart Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight back home. (B)
